José Carlos Carvalho

Partner and Global Head of the Economic Department and Data Science at Vinci Compass. Additionally, he serves as director of the Institute of Economic Policy Studies/Casa das Garças. He has extensive experience as a chief economist, having held this role at Paineiras Investimentos, Banco Pactual, and JGP Asset Management, where he was also a co-founder. He holds a degree in Economics from UFRJ, a master’s in Economics from PUC-Rio, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University in the United States.
