Jose Guilherme Cruz Souza

Partner at Vinci Compass, leading the Infrastructure division since 2016 and managing a portfolio of over BRL 4 billion in assets. Previously, he was a partner in the Private Equity division, focusing on investments in the infrastructure and industrial sectors, as well as overseeing the investment in Equatorial Energia until 2015. He served on the Boards of Directors of Celpa (Centrais Elétricas do Pará) and Cecrisa and currently sits on the Boards of Grupo CBO, Hydria, LEST, and V2i Energia. Before joining Vinci Compass, he spent five years at Banco Pactual as co-manager of FIP Brasil Energia, a BRL 1.2 billion fund dedicated to energy generation and transmission investments. He also has additional experience in consulting at Stern Stewart & Co., as well as in equity sales and trading at Citigroup Asset Management and Banco Graphus. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal Engineering School of Itajubá (EFEI) and an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Corporate Accounting from the University of Rochester, New York, where he was honored with Beta Gamma Sigma distinction.
